I think I see where you're coming from; the religious huckster has a chance of pulling the wool from folks' eyes, and suicide is at your chosen time....

That's the suicide right, but not the huckster. I don't see any great value in eye-wool (eye-scale?) removing. Rather it refers to the honor of obtaining the widely extolled social utility of even a false religion, while keeping the atheist himself in coin.

Elf is always telling me I'm not cynical enough, but frankly of late I'm fighting tooth and nail to hold on to a little idealism. ;^p
